How do I play?
Choose your teammates, choose your adventure, and book your tickets! When you arrive at Psych, your Game Master will quickly explain the safety rules and strategies for success. Then the game will begin! You will have 60 minutes to complete the adventure.
What should I expect?
Expect to be challenged and have fun! About 60-80% of the teams escape in time, depending on the room!
The game itself is scheduled for 60 minutes, although you’ll need to arrive 15 minutes early to sign in and be prepped for your escape. You’ll have a few minutes at the end for a debrief with the Game Master to ask any questions you may have. All in all, plan on 90 minutes. The games require you to think and communicate with others. The games do not require you to pick up anything heavy, or require extraordinary knowledge in any subject. The most successful groups are those that communicate well, think simply and straightforward, and are very thorough in their searches and their thought process. There's no need to know specific trivia or facts. There might be an occasional riddle or some simple math to do but you will be able to solve every clue if you think it through. Our Game Masters will also be able to help you with clues if you ask for them, up to three per game.
How much does it cost?
The ticket price is $32 per person.
What do I need to bring?
Just your sense of adventure! All the tools needed to solve the puzzles can be found in the room, including pencils and scrap paper. Lockers will be provided, so that you can safely store your personal belongings before entering the room
Are there age restrictions?
Most adventures are designed for players aged 10+, though players as young as 8 do well with their families. Please make sure to read the adventure descriptions for details and tips
How do I book tickets or use a gift certificate?
Reservations can be made by clicking the BOOK NOW link in the menu, or by clicking the button below! If you have a gift certificate, enter the redemption code in the “promotion” field at checkout.
What if we get stuck on a puzzle?
You can ask for up to three hints. Make sure you really need the hint before requesting, as you only have three.
Are all bookings private?
Definitely! We’ve changed our policy so that all rooms are private! Once you book your room and pay for your ticket, that time slot for your room will no longer be available for others to purchase tickets. If your party needs to pay individually, just give us a call and we can help with that.
Can I reserve a time that’s not showing up in the booking website for my group or corporate event?
Definitely! We reserve our day hours (not posted on our schedule) for private events or team building. Just give us a call to let us know when you’d like to come in.
What happens if I’m late?
These are live-action events. You must arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time as need a few minutes to go over some things about your mission. This allows you to get started at your scheduled time, which is when your timer starts and you do not want to miss out any valuable time. There are no refunds or exchanges. Bookings can be rescheduled with 24 hour notice.
Do I need reservations to participate in a Psych Escape Room?
Yes, a reservation is necessary. All events must be scheduled in advance. If you do not see an event time that suits you, call us to make arrangements for a special time/date or schedule a time - 708.942.4818.
What happens if I don’t escape the room in 60 minutes?
At the end of 60 minutes, the Game Master will open the room. You can come back another time to try again or your Game Master will be happy to walk you through the remaining puzzles that were unsolved.
Am I allowed to bring food or drink into the room?
No food or drinks are allowed in the rooms.
Can I have more than the suggested number of players?
We do not recommend that you go over the maximum number of players. If there are more than the optimal number of players in a room it may impact the amount of fun to be had! You can give us a call to discuss.
What if I want to play during a time or day that is not listed?
Contact us and we will work with you and your team to arrange a time to play that works. We can do private events outside of our normal hours with 24 hours notice.
